Since March 23, 2020, Lumbertown Law's office has been closed to the public and we have been working from home. However, on June 1, 2020, Governor Whitmer announced that the "Stay Home, Stay Safe" order has been lifted, effective immediately. Based on that, we are happy to announce that the office of Lumbertown Law is reopening, effective June 8, 2020!
Effective June 8, 2020, our office will be open Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. We will be still working from home on Fridays during the summer months.
In accordance with the CDC Guidelines on COVID-19 and Michigan's Executive Orders concerning social distancing, we will continue to limit client meetings and use videoconferencing whenever possible. We will be disinfecting our work spaces and conference room frequently throughout the day, along with all frequently touched surfaces. We have masks and lots of hand sanitizer available to make in-person meetings safer when an in-person meeting is necessary.
We have adopted a COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan, and that plan is available in our office. In addition, we have adopted protocols to self-screen before coming into work and are sure that we're identifying any suspected or confirmed exposure to people who are possibly exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms.
If needed, we will adjust hours or availability, and keep in mind that we both have young children so we may need to be flexible with our schedules going forward. We appreciate your patience with us and look forward to getting back to work!
